Sonya Yoncheva & Sofia Philharmonic: Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées
Paris, Théâtre des Champs‐Élysées — Main Hall
About the Event
Major vocal talent Sonya Yoncheva in an evening dedicated to Puccini and Verdi.
Sonya Yoncheva has demonstrated her talent on stages worldwide. What makes this major artist so distinctive is the particularly impressive extent of her repertoire: she tackles the most virtuoso tragic roles – Violetta, Mimi, Norma, Tosca, Lucia – as well as the heroines of French Grand opera – Roméo et Juliette, Les Pêcheurs de perles, Faust, Thaïs – and also performs in operas by Mozart, Gluck and Cherubini, and excels in baroque masterpieces such as Giulio Cesare, Agrippina and Alcina by Handel. This evening she has chosen to perform Puccini and Verdi.
