About the Event
The first Parisian recital by Roman Borisov, the young Slavic keyboard star.
A pupil of the iconic teacher Mary Lebenzon at the Novosibirsk Conservatoire, Roman Borisov gave his first recital in France in 2015 at the Piano en Valois festival in Angoulême. He was just 12 years old. Since then, he has come a long way, winning several international awards, including the Tabor Foundation Prize at the Summer Academy of the Verbier Festival, and has recorded his first albums. For his Paris debut, he has chosen to play sonatas by Beethoven and Rachmaninov, impromptus by Schubert and excerpts from his compatriot Medtner’s Melodies, which are bathed in a certain form of nostalgia reminiscent of Scriabine and Rachmaninov.
