Excerpts from the new opera by Africa Lyric’s Opera, sacred songs, spirituals, and famous arias from French, Italian, German and African operas
Africa Lyric’s Opera is back at the Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées for a special new charity event to raise funds for young opera singers from all backgrounds, the construction of a conservatoire in Cameroon, and training in the high‐tech sector for women in Africa, a flagship Women of Africa programme. Voices from Africa, the United States and France will come together this evening for a thrilling and socially‐committed programme of classics from the opera, traditional and sacred songs, and a preview of excerpts from a new historical opera by Africa Lyric’s Opera. An evening of singing, sharing, and solidarity.
