Opera A Palazzo — An Exceptional Evening: Rigoletto at the Jacquemart‐André Museum
Paris, Jacquemart‐André Museum
About the Event
In the exceptional setting of the Musée Jacquemart‐André, experience Rigoletto up close with the artists: an intense drama of passion, betrayal, filial love, and revenge.
Follow Rigoletto’s story in an immersive journey through the museum’s salons and enjoy a glass of Champagne during the intermission.
This adaptation, created by Musica a Palazzo (Venice), showcases the main roles: Rigoletto (baritone), Gilda (soprano), the Duke of Mantua (tenor), Sparafucile (bass), and Maddalena (mezzo‐soprano).
The music is performed by a trio (piano, violin, cello). The intimate and immersive staging by Patrizia Di Paolo is enhanced by costumes from Atelier Nicolao in Venice.
Before the performance, enjoy a private visit of the museum’s prestigious permanent collection on the ground floor.
The artists’ exceptional closeness to the audience evokes powerful emotions by eliminating any distance.
To bring the characters’ emotions to life, Patrizia Di Paolo draws on the talent of young French singers whose voices already resonate on major opera stages.
Accompanied by musicians from renowned orchestras, these young artists embody the new generation of opera.
