Magic of Violin and Clarinet: Bach at Saint‐Germain des Prés
Paris, Eglise Saint‐Germain‐des‐Prés — Main Hall
About the Event
This program showcases the emotional and rigorous world of Johann Sebastian Bach, brought to life by two virtuoso artists: Eléonore Darmon on violin and Réginald Lafont on oboe.
Eléonore Darmon delivers a strikingly virtuosic performance that highlights the dramatic intensity of the Violin Concerto in A. In the Concerto in E for violin and oboe, Réginald Lafont’s subtle expressive palette creates a perfect harmony with the violin, highlighting the rhythmic energy and profound lyricism of the Leipzig Kantor. Another highlight of the Baroque repertoire, Bach’s Cantata No. 82 moves the listener with its serene call for rest, detachment, and meditation, in an ethereal atmosphere conveyed by the voice of soprano Marie‐Noëlle Cros. This exceptional concert is accompanied by the Paul Kuentz Orchestra, conducted by Paul Kuentz himself.
