About the Event

Under the direction of François Lazarevitch, Les Musiciens de Saint‐Julien will literally delight us with instruments as surprising as the csakan (Hungarian flute) and the cymbalum.

Schubert, Strauss, Hunyady, Ivanovici, Doppler,
Traditional music from Hungary, Serbia, Romania…

On the banks of the beautiful blue Danube invites us on a musical journey to the heart of the regions of the Austro‐Hungarian Empire, also known as the ‘Danube Monarchy’. Within this prodigious musical universe, certain names are obviously famous, such as Schubert. But music lovers will be just as transported by the folk music of the empire's different nationalities: Hungarian, Serbian or Romanian, these popular melodies and sounds vibrate with an astonishing palette of colours and energies.
