L'Église de la Madeleine, located on Place de la Madeleine in Paris's 8th arrondissement, is a neoclassical masterpiece inaugurated in 1842. Inspired by Greek temples, its majestic facade boasts imposing columns and elegant statues. Inside, its grand architecture and magnificent organs make it a sought‐after venue for concerts and religious celebrations.

The singers are enthusiastic and able. The Madeleine setting is unique and beautiful but the cavernous space swallows the sound of the unamplified singers and the volume of the singing is underpowered as a result. That aside it was a very enjoyable show.
