About the Event

The third and final concert of the season with the Diotima Quartet concludes this year's residency with Beethoven's Opus 132, one of the composer's most majestic and moving pieces. Everything about this work is imposing: its five movements, the introductory section comprising no less than 264 bars, its duration of nearly 45 minutes, its arch‐like structure, and the palpable sense of the composer's illness in each movement. Beethoven at the height of his chamber music artistry.
