Catherine Trottmann & Alex Vizorek: Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées
Paris, Théâtre des Champs‐Élysées — Main Hall
About the Event
Catherine Trottmann and Alex Vizorek invite us to a Viennese ball.
We shift from the gilded decor of the Musikverein in Vienna with its international audience to the gilt of avenue Montaigne for a more intimate celebration, but Johann Strauss will help us dance our way into the New Year. His “Oriental” March, the inevitable polkas and a selection of the finest waltzes from the orchestra of the Republican Guard will share the bill with excerpts from Die Fledermaus. In the words of the operetta: “Champagne’s delicious bubbles scatter all our troubles”. This will be a vintage evening: Alex Vizorek will bring an extra touch of humour, and Catherine Trottmann will make the servant Adele’s dream of becoming a singer come true. Bastien Stil, who is in his element, whatever the style, will conduct proceedings. Musical intoxication is guaranteed.
