Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées — Main Hall
About the Event
Carolyn Carlson is back with her latest piece The Tree.
“We are not outside the Universe we are seeds evolving in cycles and rhythm like the changing seasons that govern every creation”. This is how Carolyn Carlson defines her latest major creation for her company. The Tree is a poetic meditation on humanity and nature on the brink of disaster. Following on from Eau, Pneuma and Now, she is bringing her cycle of pieces inspired by Gaston Bachelard, with an American twist, to a close. Carolyn Carlson and the virtuoso performances of her dancers are a powerful and living expression of love for nature on the brink of collapse, in the hope that it will be reborn like a phoenix from the ashes. Following the success of her performances last season, Carolyn Carlson and her dancers are back for two more shows.
