About the Event

Samoan Pene Pati follows in the footsteps of the greatest tenors of the last century by dedicating a recital to the Neapolitan song genre. This genre is closely linked to the history of the southern Italian city, where it is often said that music and dance run in the blood of its inhabitants. These songs are mostly love laments or serenades traditionally written for male voices and sung in the Neapolitan dialect. The greatest opera singers have succumbed to its charms, from Placido Domingo to José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti to Roberto Alagna. The sunny Pene Pati is now joining the ranks of the greats, and there is no doubt that he too will shine.
