About the Event
Pianist Conor Hanick is regarded as one of his generation’s most inquisitive interpreters of music new and old whose “technical refinement, color, crispness and wondrous variety of articulation benefit works by any master” (The New York Times). Hanick traces a century of American piano innovation, from Charles Ives and Julius Eastman to Adrian Knight and a New York permiere by Matthew Aucoin performed together with the composer.
JULIUS EASTMAN – Piano 2
ADRIAN KNIGHT – Abide With Me
MATTHEW AUCOIN – Sources of Lift (New York Premiere)
