NY Phil: Dudamel Conducts Stravinsky, Glass & Soper
About the Event
Experience the enchanting harmonies of classical music from Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky, Philip Glass, and Kate Soper at the iconic David Geffen Hall in New York. Under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel, the future Music and Artistic Director of the NY Phil, the orchestra will perform two monumental symphonies: Stravinsky's Symphony in Three Movements (commissioned by the NY Phil originally) and Philip Glass’s Symphony No. 11, first performed to commemorate his 80th birthday. Additionally, composer and soprano Kate Soper will perform in the World Premiere of her new piece composed specifically for the NY Phil.
