In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Johannes Brahms, Ludwig van Beethoven, Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky and Nico Muhly at New York's treasured and world‐renowned David Geffen Hall.

Marin Alsop leads an inventive concert bookended by Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No. 3 and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite — two works, operatic in their scope, that evoke heroic feats of rescue. Renaud Capuçon premieres a new work for violin and orchestra by Nico Muhly. Beethoven’s heir, Brahms, rounds out the program with his Variations on a Theme by Haydn.
