About the Event

For travelers drawn to Milan’s creative pulse, Teatro Dal Verme: Dardust and Alberto Cipolla offers an evocative evening in one of the city’s most atmospheric cultural venues. Set in the heart of Milan, Teatro Dal Verme combines historic character with a welcoming setting for contemporary performance, making it a memorable stop between an aperitivo in Brera and an evening stroll through the city center. The program places Dardust’s works at its core, inviting audiences into a rich sound world where piano, electronics, orchestral color, and cinematic atmosphere meet. Known for music that moves between intimate reflection and expansive spectacle, Dardust creates an experience that feels equally suited to a concert hall and a film score.

Orchestra: Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali

Formed in the aftermath of World War Two, with a mandate to perform contemporary works, and above all the music of composers suppressed and censored by the fascist regime, i Pomeriggi Musicali has become an integral part of musical life in Milan and, more broadly, Lombardy. An active history of commissioning new works has seen many 20th Century greats, including such luminaries as Berio, Dallapiccola and Clementi, write for, and in many cases, conduct the orchestra. Today, the orchestra maintains this commitment to premiering new works, alongside a broad repertoire of great works from earlier periods. Welcoming a star‐studded roster of guest conductors that includes many legendary names, the orchestra also plays a key role in the Lombardian opera season, playing for numerous houses, and is a regular guest of international concert halls and festivals.
