About the Event

On an evening in Milan, Teatro Dal Verme: Alessandro Cadario, Valentina Gabrieli, Loris Bonetti invites travelers to discover a program where Mozartian sparkle meets the elegance of the nineteenth‐century piano concerto. Set in the atmospheric Teatro Dal Verme, one of the city’s cherished cultural landmarks, the concert offers an ideal pause between exploring Brera, the Duomo, and the lively canals of Navigli.

The experience opens with the bright, theatrical overture to Le Nozze di Figaro, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s irresistible curtain‐raiser. Carl Czerny’s Concerto per pianoforte a quattro mani then brings four‐hand virtuosity to the spotlight, before Mozart’s Sinfonia n. 38 in re maggiore, K.504 “Praga” unfolds with grandeur, wit, and finely balanced orchestral color. Teatro Dal Verme: Alessandro Cadario, Valentina Gabrieli, Loris Bonetti is a graceful invitation to hear familiar classics in an intimate Milanese setting.

Artists

Orchestra: Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali

Formed in the aftermath of World War Two, with a mandate to perform contemporary works, and above all the music of composers suppressed and censored by the fascist regime, i Pomeriggi Musicali has become an integral part of musical life in Milan and, more broadly, Lombardy. An active history of commissioning new works has seen many 20th Century greats, including such luminaries as Berio, Dallapiccola and Clementi, write for, and in many cases, conduct the orchestra. Today, the orchestra maintains this commitment to premiering new works, alongside a broad repertoire of great works from earlier periods. Welcoming a star‐studded roster of guest conductors that includes many legendary names, the orchestra also plays a key role in the Lombardian opera season, playing for numerous houses, and is a regular guest of international concert halls and festivals.

Conductor: Alessandro Cadario
