Mahler / Gamzou: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano
Milan, Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo — main
About the Event
The end is merely a new beginning. Much like other composers, such as Bruckner with his Ninth or Schubert with his Tenth, Mahler's Tenth Symphony remained unfinished after his sudden death in 1911. This dramatic work reflects the intense struggles Mahler faced during his final days, yet it survives only as a collection of sketches. Yoel Gamzou bravely embraces the challenge of reconstructing this incomplete masterpiece, following in the footsteps of renowned figures like Deryck Cooke and Rudolf Barshai. He masterfully brings it to life at the Auditorium in Milan.
Program
- Gustav Mahler – Sinfonia n. 10 in Fa diesis maggiore (versione di Yoel Gamzou) Prima esecuzione italiana
