Glinka / Cajkovskij / Rachmaninov / Tjeknavorian: Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano
Milan, Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo — main
About the Event
Two extraordinary talents and two masterpieces of the great Russian tradition unite in an itinerary that blends virtuosity with emotional depth. Leading this experience, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian conducts the Milan Symphony Orchestra in a journey marking the debut of Andrea Obiso on the Largo Mahler stage. Obiso, a young violin prodigy, is the concertmaster of the first violins of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Central to the voyage is Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35, a piece renowned for its passion and challenge, where lyricism and technique converge with remarkable expressive power. Complementing the violin's narrative is Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27: a monumental composition, bursting with romantic élan and characterized by renewed creativity.
