Beethoven / Bruckner / Flor: Orchestra Sinfonica Di Milano
Milan, Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo — main
About the Event
Milan‐Parma, a compelling journey. There exists a profound connection between the Lombard capital and the Emilian city. Giuseppe Verdi, hailing from Roncole di Busseto in Parma’s province, shared a strong link with Milan, where he lived and thrived. Arturo Toscanini, originating from Parma’s Oltretorrente district, served as the chief conductor for Milan’s Teatro alla Scala Orchestra from 1921 to 1929. Romano Gandolfi, the legendary choir director born in Medesano, Parma, founded the Coro Sinfonico di Milano. This list is long and continues to expand. Today, we honor this Milan‐Parma connection with an enticing co‐production, featuring a renowned conductor on the stages of the Auditorium in Milan and the Arturo Toscanini Music Production Center at the Parco della Musica in Parma: Claus Peter Flor, performing Bruckner's Fourth and Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto, joined by rising piano star Tom Borrow.
