About the Event
Marshall invites travelers to an evening where the vitality of New York meets the elegance of the concert hall. At the Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo, George Gershwin’s Of Thee I Sing Overture opens the program with sparkling theatrical flair, followed by his Piano Concerto in F, a celebrated fusion of jazz rhythms, blues‐inflected colors, and symphonic ambition.
Leonard Bernstein’s Three Dance Episodes from On the Town sustain the momentum with their exuberant Broadway spirit and cinematic energy. The evening concludes with A Symphonic Picture for Orchestra by Robert Russell Bennett, adding another vibrant chapter to the story of American orchestral music.
