Regarded as one of opera’s great masterpieces, The Marriage of Figaro marked Mozart’s first collaboration with librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte (Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Così fan tutte). Canadian director Robert Carsen makes his operatic debut with this new production, blending philosophy and the abuse of power with comedy. The cast includes Mattia Olivieri, Carles Pachon, Olga Kuchynska, Elsa Dreisig, Sara Blanch, Giulia Semenzato, Luca Micheletti, Germán Olivera, Cecilia Molinari and Lucía Cahiuela, among others, with Stefano Montanari conducting.
