Following last season’s success, Bluebeard’s Castle returns to Teatro Real, with Anna Netrebko as the inquisitive Judith and Alexander Köpeczi as Bluebeard. Bartók’s opera appears in concert version, marking the soprano’s role debut. Led by Henrik Nánási and joined by the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, she adds one of the 20th century’s most complex characters to her gallery of female portraits. The programme also features two works by Franz Liszt: the celebrated Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 and Piano Concerto no. 1, performed by young pianist Misi Boros.
