About the Event
“The sun is setting” (Se solen sjunker) is a traditional Swedish folk song which inspired Schubert’s iconic theme of the second movement in this E‐flat trio. The Paddington Trio pair this with Andrea Tarrodi’s ‘Akacia’, inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the Swedish archipelago, and complete their programme with Ravel’s Trio, infused with Basque rhythms and evoking exotic landscapes.
