Sunday Concerts at Conway Hall: Ortus Trio + Pre‐Concert Recital with Tiago Silva & Elizabeth Haughan
London, Conway Hall — Main Hall
About the Event
The London‐based Ortus Trio make their Conway Hall début with three beloved trios, beginning with two pinnacles of the French repertoire, and bringing the evening to a close with Mendelssohn’s dramatic and fiendishly virtuosic Second Trio. The trio has played at venues including Steinway Hall, St. Mary le Strand, and has recently toured in Antwerp, Belgium. Their performance of Fauré’s Trio for his centenary was praised by musicologist Caroline Potter for highlighting the subtlety of the work.
Pre‐Concert Recital with Tiago Silva & Elizabeth Haughan
Continuing our series of special pre‐concert recitals with generous support from Cockayne – Grants for the Arts, we are pleased to welcome violinist Tiago Silva and pianist Elizabeth Haughan from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
