About the Event
Headlining our 2026 Artist‐in‐Residence, Bartholomew LaFollette, this unique program explores striking contrasts in expression. We commence with Brahms’s vigorous Scherzo in C minor, a passionate and intense section of the collaborative FAE Sonata. Following that, Brahms’s mature Clarinet Trio in A minor, Op.114, offers an intimate atmosphere warmed by his profound love for the clarinet's voice. Post‐intermission, we present Messiaen’s epic Quartet for the End of Time, crafted in a prisoner‐of‐war camp in 1941. Its visionary mix of faith, rhythm, and color ushers us into a contemplative and transcendent realm.
