RPO x Michael England: Symphonic Soul: A Celebration of Motown and More
London, Royal Albert Hall — Main Hall
About the Event
Prepare yourself for another unforgettable night of soul music with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, resonating with the revolutionary sounds of the legendary Motown label and other sensational soul artists from that era.
This concert will have you up and dancing with songs from artists who elevated gospel, blues, and soul, including Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, the Jackson 5, Martha Reeves, and the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
We are excited to welcome back star singers Gloria Onitiri and Trevor Dion Nicholas for a lineup of classic Motown hits like R.E.S.P.E.C.T., Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Reach Out (I’ll Be There), Dancing in the Street, Midnight Train to Georgia, Stop! In the Name of Love, Don’t You Worry ’Bout A Thing, My Guy, Proud Mary, What Becomes of the Broken‐Hearted, You Can’t Hurry Love, and My Girl.
