London Firebird Orchestra: Mozart’s Strassburg
London, St. George´s Church (Hanover Square) — main hall
About the Event
Experience an unforgettable evening of classical music at the iconic St. George's Church (Hanover Square) alongside the London Firebird Orchestra: Mozart’s Strassburg.
The internationally‐acclaimed star violinist Yury Revich returns to Firebird for his annual concerto concert. This season, Yury performs Mozart’s elegant Violin Concerto no. 3, composed in 1775 when Mozart was just 19 years old.
Mozart referred to this piece as the Strassburg Concerto in a letter to his father Leopold, possibly due to a Strasburger dance theme in the third movement.
Next, enjoy the dramatic and playful virtuosity of Saint‐Saëns' Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso for Solo Violin and Orchestra.
The second half features Beethoven’s powerful Eroica Symphony, often considered the first romantic symphony, brimming with stirring melodies.
Yury Revich is a laureate of both the ECHO Classic and International Classical Music Awards, maintaining a dynamic international concert schedule. Since 2019, he has graced the stage with Firebird each season.
