Ludwig van Beethoven

Ludwig van Beethoven, the iconic German pianist and composer of the late 18th century, is celebrated as a monumental figure in Classical music history. His exceptional musical abilities surfaced early, nurtured by his father and mentor, composer/conductor Christian Gottlob Neefe. Moving to Vienna, Beethoven gained fame as a virtuoso pianist, creating his legendary compositions. Astonishingly, he produced his most famous works in the last 15 years of his life, even as he was almost entirely deaf.
