Chopin & Friends Candlelight Concerts – Piano Concerts in Gdańsk
Gdansk, St Catherine's Church
About the Event
The candlelight piano concerts honor the exceptional and immensely popular Polish composer, Fryderyk Chopin. Renowned globally, Chopin's name stands among the legends of music history, with his works being some of the most exquisite piano pieces ever created.
Alongside chosen works by Chopin, the concert program features the finest piano compositions from celebrated composers like Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schumann, and Rachmaninoff.
The concerts' uniqueness lies primarily in the setting— the Rectoral Church of the Carmelite Fathers of St. Catherine. This vast 13th‐century Gothic church is famed for its exceptional acoustics. Listening to piano music by candlelight in such a venue promises an unforgettable emotional journey, etching a lasting memory.
In Gdańsk, this is the sole chance to attend a piano concert in a church!
