About the Event

Born in Upper Franconia in 2005, Jan Liebermann is considered one of the greatest and most promising talents on the queen of instruments. He began playing the piano at the age of seven and switched to the organ at the age of twelve. The young musician breathes new life into this “old” instrument and shares his enthusiasm with over 40,000 followers on social media. In the spring of 2024, Liebermann caused a sensation in the organ world when he performed all six trio sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach from memory at several public concerts. With virtuosity, technical mastery, and interpretive depth, he captivates audiences in church pews and concert halls alike. He will also pull out all the stops on the famous Silbermann organ in Freiberg with a program dedicated entirely to Johann Sebastian Bach.
