About the Event

In December 2025, the Orchestra della Toscana invites you to the Teatro Verdi in Florence for a Christmas Concert that promises an evening of lightness, expressive intensity, and classical grandeur. Leading the performance will be the young and talented Nicolò Jacopo Suppa, whose clear, engaging, and passionate style has garnered admiration across Italy’s major theatres. Joining him is cellist Ettore Pagano, a rising star in the instrumental world, celebrated for his warm tone and instinctive yet meticulous approach.

The concert begins with the playful overture from Rossini’s 'Il signor Bruschino,' setting a lively tone. Next is Čajkovskij’s 'Andante cantabile,' a piece full of depth and reflection, adapted by the composer himself from his first string quartet, where the cello offers a lyrical and profound expression.

Following is Stravinsky’s 'Suite italienne No. 1,' a sophisticated nod to 18th‐century elegance, reimagining themes often linked to Pergolesi with a fresh, modern touch. The evening concludes with Mozart’s magnificent Symphony No. 41 'Jupiter,' a pinnacle of harmony and creativity, providing an invigorating, graceful, and awe‐inspiring end to the year.
