About the Event

Franz Schubert's Winterreise is more than a song cycle—it is an emotional state of emergency, an existential journey through loneliness, loss, and hope. In our interpretation, the work and reality merge: the music encounters two unusual life paths, each marked in its own way by upheaval, new beginnings, and a deep passion for art.

In Dresden's inner old town, the Coselpalais offers unique cultural and culinary delights against a historic backdrop.

The late Baroque building was constructed in 1765 on Neumarkt square opposite the Frauenkirche and is now one of the city's most important Baroque buildings. But it is not only the Frauenkirche that impresses with its sacred splendor the Coselpalais is also a true architectural gem. After being severely damaged in World War II, it has been completely reconstructed and now exudes the charm of bygone times. You can enjoy this special atmosphere while savoring exquisite delicacies at the Grand Café or the Coselpalais restaurant. The heart of the building, however, is the baroque ballroom, which provides the perfect setting for various events and celebrations. Up to 200 spectators can witness first‐class orchestra, choir, and piano concerts, as well as exciting readings, or participate in stimulating panel discussions.

The combination of talented artists, historic atmosphere, and in‐house dining options makes every visit to the Coselpalais an unforgettable experience.
