About the Event
With spirit and verve, this concert celebrates the beauties of life and invites you to listen to music in a relaxed atmosphere. In the first part, the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and its newly appointed conductor Omer Meir Wellber are joined by Till Brönner, a fantastic musical partner. With effortless virtuosity and casual elegance, the internationally acclaimed jazz musician combines jazz with mainstream, high culture with pop aesthetics to create his own distinctive sound. The program includes legendary classics by Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra, among others – a listening pleasure in a class of its own! The second part then takes us on a journey through time to the Romantic era with Franz Schubert's Third Symphony. The notes of this early work, composed with ease and youthful exuberance, convey an irrepressible joie de vivre that is contagious and is sure to send the audience home with a smile on their faces.
