About the Event

No poet has created a world theater of similar dimensions and described human nature in all its diversity with such fascinating linguistic power as William Shakespeare. Countertenor Andreas Scholl, flutist Dorothee Oberlinger, lutenist Edin Karamazov, and renowned actor Matthias Brandt dedicate their latest program to the legendary English playwright, fulfilling a long‐held artistic dream. For Shakespeare's work is inextricably linked to music, and composers have always woven it into their musical creations to create a moving exploration of the human soul. On this literary and musical journey of discovery, the audience, together with the performers, is immersed in a cosmos full of magic, enchantment, and wisdom.

Shakespeare's World – a musical and literary journey of discovery
