Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Romantic Evening for Two — Daniel Müller‐Schott, David Fray
Dresden, Palais im Großen Garten — Main Hall
About the Event
Two of the world's leading classical musicians meet in the picturesque setting of the Palais im Großen Garten: Munich‐born cellist Daniel Müller‐Schott and French pianist David Fray share an uncanny confidence on their instruments, expressive playing, and a special love for the great German composers. The two exceptional artists present a program full of emotional depth and musical mastery: In addition to the famous romances originally written for oboe and piano, which Robert Schumann gave to his wife Clara, the program also includes his Fantasiestücke for (in the original) clarinet and piano, which Clara helped premiere, Beethoven's monumental Cello Sonata No. 3, and Brahms' charming First Cello Sonata from 1862. The audience can look forward to an evening that brings to life the close connection between the great composers of German music history.
