About the Event
The rhythms and melodies of the island of Cuba simply put you in a good mood. Sarah Willis, horn player with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, knows this too, and has teamed up with some of the country’s best musicians to form Sarahbanda. In the children’s concert, the young concertgoers will join the band on an entertaining and exciting journey to the Caribbean, where they will discover a wide variety of instruments and the typical sounds of Cuba with magnificent music and, above all, a great deal of fun. Whether bolero, mambo, or cha‐cha‐cha—the perfect sound requires not only a sense of rhythm, but also teamwork. And when Sarahbanda gets going with its irresistible sounds, no one can stay in their seats.
