Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Infinite cello sound — Long night of the cello
Dresden, Kulturpalast
About the Event
It is the absolute highlight of the Dresden Music Festival's “Cellomania” 2026: the “Long Night of the Cello” brings together all the cellists of the festival in one evening! And the name of the concert says it all: in a variety of settings, from solo and chamber music to orchestral concertos, the audience can expect a tour de force through the cello repertoire, showcasing the instrument in all its facets. Experienced world stars and up‐and‐coming young talents will once again enchant the Kulturpalast with their enthusiasm, virtuosity, and passion. For the first time, the musicians will be accompanied by an orchestra. The NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra will add a new tonal color to this unique musical event. Whether wild, romantic, or exotic—there are no limits to the cello's ability to inspire boundless enthusiasm!
