Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Humor Lab — Sound & Science
Dresden, Zentrum für Regenerative Therapien Dresden
About the Event
In keeping with the motto “LIGHTNESS OF BEING,” the current issue of the “Sound & Science” series is all about humor! As surprising as it may sound, humor is a complex matter. In order to find something “funny,” it requires the fascinating interplay of thought, perception, emotion, and social intuition. Humor is therefore much more than just entertainment it is a creative form of mental gymnastics that challenges us to think flexibly, sharpen our perception, and keep our minds agile. But in addition to exploring these exciting processes, the focus of this evening will of course also be on experiencing and feeling. With the question of how humor works in music, the event will become a musical humor laboratory with a live experiment and a world premiere by Vincent Wikström. Laughter guaranteed!
