Dresdner Musikfestspiele: Exceptional duet sound — Nicolas Altstaedt, Jean Rondeau
Dresden, Palais im Großen Garten — Main Hall
About the Event
When one of the most sought‐after and versatile cello virtuosos meets a keyboard wizard dubbed a rebel on the harpsichord, the result is a completely new color to the recital and adds a very special accent to “Cellomania.” Nicolas Altstaedt and Jean Rondeau have been a well‐rehearsed team in chamber music for many years and have developed a joint repertoire for their two instruments. For this extraordinary concert, the two adventurous musicians have selected works by Johann Sebastian Bach and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, perfectly suited to the baroque ambience of the Palais im Großen Garten. A listening pleasure that makes the familiar sound both familiar and new!
