Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of contemporary dance with the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), one of the world's leading companies for over 60 years! The renowned ensemble from The Hague inspires audiences with innovative choreography and impressive expressiveness. At the Schauspielhaus Dresden, NDT 2 – originally something of a talent factory for NDT 1, but now an independent company with its own repertoire – can be experienced with two extraordinary pieces: “Saaba,” choreographed by Israeli artist Sharon Eyal and accompanied by the powerful music of Ori Lichtik, speaks a touching language of movement. The dancers create an atmosphere full of intensity and emotion. The second dance highlight is “Folkå,” a work by Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau, which is designed as a lively hymn to life—a night of sacrifice, celebration, and community. A dance evening in a class of its own!
