Let yourself be carried away into the world of the most beautiful operas and listen to the soloists of the DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER. Many a classical opera melody became even better known through commercials and films.
Practical Information
The concert hall in the Wallpavillon is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger Palace opposite the Glockenspiel Pavilion. One path leads up from the inner courtyard of the Zwinger via curved steps. The second path leads from Theaterplatz over a small rampart — located to the right of the restaurant & Café Alte Meister / Theaterplatz 1a and opposite the left side of the Semperoper Dresden — to the upper level. There are three sandstone steps to climb. On concert days, signs will guide you to us.
Due to the historical construction, the toilets and the concert hall are not barrier‐free but only accessible via steps.

| Orchestra: | Dresdner Residenz Orchester The young und very talented musicians of the DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER, a chambre orchestra of 4 – 8 musicians, has been delighting visitors to Dresden's famous Zwinger Palace since its formation in 2013. Founded by Prof. Igor Malinovsky, the ensemble is acclaimed for its agility and adaptability, creating magical interpretations of works written for much larger forces alongside classic works for chamber orchestra by Vivaldi, Mozart and Johann Strauss. The DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER also appears as a guest ensemble at prestigious venues such as par example the Berlin Philharmonie, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Münchener Residenz. |
