Carmel
The small coastal California city of Carmel-by-the-Sea is as famous for its beauty as it is for its rich cultural history. Carmel has attracted artists, musicians, and writers since the the city was incorporated at the beginning of the 20th century, when it became the home of an artist colony.
Since 1935, the city has hosted the Carmel Bach Festival.
