Bologna Festival: Galà Lirico
Bologna, Cortile dell’Archiginnasio
About the Event
A play of masks and emotions: the wit and energy of Rossini’s characters from Il barbiere di Siviglia and La Cenerentola the tenderness and deception of L’elisir d’amore the extreme passions of Lucia di Lammermoor and, finally, the suspended, idealised love of Faust and Juliette. Arias, duets and trios—entrusted to three rising revelations of operatic singing—follow one another like scenes in a single theatrical fresco, where vocal individuality is constantly intertwined with action and introspection: the last radiant gleams of bel canto projected towards its glorious metamorphosis in nineteenth‐century Italian opera.
In collaboration with the “Maria Callas” Accademia Lirico Interpretativa.
