Auditorium Manzoni
Bologna, Italy
Teatro Manzoni was built in 1933 in the very center of Bologna in order to give to the city a multi‐functional space: The large hall was conceived to be used both as a cinema as well as a theater.
After many years as the 'Cinema Teatro Manzoni', the municipality of Bologna undertook to render the interior space more conducive to live performances, modelling the restored interior on a musical instrument, in order to optimize the acoustics.
