The Musical Biography of Frank Sinatra — by Candle Glow (Acoustic Edition)
Bielsko‐Biała, Redutowa Hall
About the Event
An exceptional candle glow concert in an Italian style, evoking the atmosphere of authentic Italian music through the most beloved songs of the king of classical American pop—Frank Sinatra.
The American singer and actor had Sicilian roots, and many of his songs echo Italian melodies often inspired by classical music. For this reason, the program includes some of the most beautiful operatic arias. Sicily was also the homeland of the great bel canto composer Vincenzo Bellini, whose most famous arias will also be featured in the repertoire.
The concert also includes film music referencing Sinatra’s (partly legendary) connections to the Sicilian mafia world. On stage, opera singers from the Opera da Camera di Roma will perform, accompanied by piano, transporting the audience into the world of 19th‐century salon concerts—where classical music once functioned like today’s pop music.
In elegant and historic interiors of Polish palaces, castles, and concert halls, new and unique arrangements of Sinatra’s songs will be performed in operatic and jazz style. Candle‐lit venues evoke aristocratic salons and Roman opera houses, where this concept was originally created.
This is a concert with limited seating, intimate acoustics, and exceptional atmosphere—available only to a small audience.
