Teodor Currentzis at Philharmonie Berlin

About the Event

With Utopia, his ensemble composed of top international musicians, the Greek‐Russian artist Teodor Currentzis continues to pursue his mission of breaking new ground in music‐making and uncompromisingly seeking out the best possible sound and the true spirit of a musical work. In this way, he approaches the innermost essence of the musical text with an intensity that sets standards worldwide. The press and audiences agree: through his intense interpretive style, Teodor Currentzis has established himself as one of the most influential musical figures of our time. This fall, together with the Utopia Orchestra and the young violinist Daniel Lozakovich, he will present Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1 and Stravinsky’s revolutionary 'Le sacre du printemps'.
