About the Event
Two former artists in residence, soprano Fatma Said and composer‐pianist Fazıl Say, are our guests together. They build musical bridges between the Occident and the Orient by combining art songs from the German Romantic period by Robert Schumann, Maurice Ravel's songs of Princess Shéhérazade from “One Thousand and One Nights,” Egyptian songs from Fatma Said's homeland, and Turkish songs by Fazıl Say.
