Jean‐Yves Thibaudet, Lisa Batiashvili & Gautier Capuçon at Philharmonie Berlin
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Kammermusiksaal
About the Event
The Guardian described Lisa Batiashvili as a “fabulously agile, intense soloist,” and she is admired by audiences and colleagues alike for her impressive virtuosity. The violinist comes to Berlin with two equally renowned chamber music partners: Gautier Capuçon, celebrated as the “21st‐century ambassador for the violoncello,” and Jean‐Yves Thibaudet, who has been hailed by the press as “a musical treasure of our time.”
Together they celebrate “chamber music at its finest” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and devote themselves to piano trios by Rachmaninoff, Debussy, and Dvořák. “Three soloists are at work here, each pursuing their own international career, but they only need to give themselves a name – and a genuine new piano trio would be born” (Abendzeitung).
Program
- Dmitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich – Klaviertrio Nr. 1 c‐moll op. 8
- Claude Debussy – Klaviertrio G‐Dur
- Antonín Dvořák – Klaviertrio f‐Moll op. 65
