Hildegard Knef: “I want everything”
About the Event
In 2025, Hildegard Knef, one of Berlin's most remarkable personalities, would have turned 100. As an actress and singer, she toured as far as Hollywood, became an icon, and yet always found her way back to her home city of Berlin. Inspired by this extraordinary life, which was recently portrayed in the successful film “Ich will Alles” (I Want Everything) , Berlin actress and singer Friedelise Stutte has put together an anniversary program with her ensemble, pianist and composer Michael Hoppe, double bassist Sidney Werner, and drummer Martin Krümmling—a song recital featuring the unforgettable chansons of one of the most dazzling artists of the 20th century. In a fresh and cheeky Hilde style, Stutte guides the audience through Knef's life – with all its highs and lows. The striking similarity in voice and appearance allows you to immerse yourself completely in the world of Knef's chansons. Classics such as “Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen” (Let it rain red roses for me), “Eins und Eins das macht zwei” (One and one makes two) and “Berlin, Dein Gesicht hat Sommersprossen” (Berlin, your face has freckles) bring the feeling of the old, dazzling Berlin back to life, while short scenes provide intimate insights into the life of Hildegard Knef.
