Harald Lesch and the four seasons in climate change at Philharmonie Berlin
Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin — Kammermusiksaal
About the Event
What do eight classical musicians from the Merlin Ensemble Vienna do with astrophysicist Harald Lesch? They embark on a journey through space and time. Antonio Vivaldi's “Four Seasons,” composed 300 years ago, equips us with an annual pass and an environmental ticket between Earth and orbit with a minimal carbon footprint.
Lesch and Vivaldi take us on a musical and scientific journey through time, beginning with the formation of the Earth and its seasons and continuing to the current climate change. At the end, Harald Lesch observes the dramatic changes to the Earth and our climate from orbit—will it lead to the apocalypse? Current politics are not spared either.
